Swimming

For family home evening we went to Maxcene's hotel and went swimming. The kids had a blast, they love to swim. When we first got there Moke took his shirt and shoes off and jumped into the 4 feet deep, Eric had to reach in and pull him out. I am not sure what he was thinking but it scared me and him. Afterwards we went to her hotel room and had pizza.

Tyus Blessing

So we went to Blanding to see little Tyus get blessed. It was a fast weekend, we weren't able to go until Saturday night and we came back on Sunday night. But it was fun. We went to the park to eat after the blessing and the kids had fun on the playground. Hatosh and Dakotah were on the see saw and had a total 3 stooges experience. Dakotah's side was up and Hatosh got off which brought Dakotah down fast his foot got caught underneath and he fell backwards, Hatosh went to lift it up off of Dakotah's foot and ended up hitting Dakotah under his chin, jared went to help and when he lifted the see saw up it hit Hatosh on the head. It was very funny and no one was hurt too bad. Eric was also puching the kids on the merry go round after we ate, I told him to stop because someone was going to get sick, well as we are walking to the car Hatosh threw up everything he had eaten. .

Kids First Soccer Game

The kids had their first soccer games of the season on Sept. 6,2008 They played really well. Navitt's team is the Radioactive Slime, Maheone's team is Golden Eagles, Nika's team is Fireball, and Hatosh's team is... Me and Moienah got sunburned watching the games, which next time I will have a bottle of sunblock. I can't believe how fast kids grow up. It seems like yesterday I was watching Navitt crawling on the floor and now he is almost 12. Time flies by.

Soccer Game

We went with Lamar's family to a soccer REAL game. It was a lot of fun. The kids had a blast they can't wait to go to another game. Salt Lake won which was great. The kids love playing with their cousins. It is nice to live close enough to see each other often.

Canoe Trip

So we went canoeing with the family up at Del resevior. It was pretty fun. Navitt loves to be out on the canoe. The other kids like it also but they are scared to tip over. Navitt is not afraid, he in fact likes to tip it over. I think Navitt, Dacien, and Jared spent more time trying to get the canoe flipped back over then in the canoe. Mokesaut was terrified of being in the canoe. He liked playing by the water but not being in the canoe.
I have to admit when I was out there it is a little scarry thinking that the boat could tip at any time. I am not a great swimmer. The water is also cold and I do not like being in cold water.

Hill AFB & Roy Museum

I took the kids to Hill AFB for a picnic and to walk around. It is fun looking at the planes. After we looked at all the planes we went over to the Roy Historical Museum, it was pretty fun. They have a game for the kids to play, where they have to find things throughout the museum, when they find everything they get a piece of candy. The kids thought that was fun.

The park on the museum grounds are beautiful, there is a waterfall, pond with bridge and beautiful flowers. It was a fun day.

Family Cabin Trip

So Eric's whole family went to Pete & Gwen's cabin for a few days. We had fun being with each other. On Saturday we went on a huge hike that wiped me out. I learned that I have never really learned to push myself to achieve something hard. I am not sure how to learn the skill of pushing past my limit.

On the hike the dogs went ahead and started barking wildly, we heard a loud noise and someone yelled bear so we all started running, Eric handed me the baby and I was shaking I was so scared. I couldn't see Moke or Hatosh and that terrified me. As we were going we heard a whistle and Lamar yelled that it was not a bear but a cow. We all got a good laugh over that.

I did indeed cry at a few points on the hike, I was exhausted and didn't think I could make it. Maheone was such a great motivator, she kept cheering me on. At the end little Moienah was getting cold and so I had to push on to get her to the truck and warmth.

I kept praying for strength and I truly believe the Lord was watching out for me and giving me that little extra to keep going.

We had a fun trip and I am thankful for the time we got to be with family. It is a blessing for the kids to be so close to their cousins and grand parents.
