For Memorial weekend we went to Lame Deer, Montana. It was so much fun, the kids had a blast seeing all their relatives and playing with all the cousins. We were supposed to camp out in Eric's uncles backyard but with the pouring rain we ended up staying in these cabins that a nice family offered for us to use.
While we were there we got to see Eric's cousin Shannlyn graduate from high school, which is why we all went in the first place. It was fun to get to see so much family.
Our dog was loving getting to run free all day. It was fun to go see the land that Eric's family lived on when he was little. Eric got to try catching horses that had not been broke, alas he had no luck catching one.
It was so green and beautiful up in Montana. On the way up to Montana we stopped at a park to let the kids play for awhile. They had a teeter-totter at the park and the kids were playing on it, Eric went over to play too, and was popping the kids up high. When Nika was on it Eric popped her up and she didn't have a good grip and flipped off hitting her face into the metal bars of it. The whole right side of her face swelled up and bruised, it looks bad, luckily it is beginning to look better. We got home around 2 am on Tuesday and so only 2 of my kids got up and went to school. Oh well it is the last week of school. It was a great trip.

May Happenings

This May has been very busy, we have 5 kids playing baseball, tee ball, and softball. We have had a rainy May and so we have had a lot of games rained out. This month Nika had a county project due, we made a cake shaped like her county which was Salt Lake County. It turned out really nice, Nika had fun decorating the cake. Maheone also celebrated her 12 birthday. I can not believe that I now have 2 kids in mutual. It is crazy to think that next year I will have 2 kids in jr. high. Where does the time go?
We took Meheone and Nika to get their hair cut and they both turned out super cute. I cut Hatosh, Moke and Eric's hair this month. It is amazing how different Eric looks with short hair.

Hatosh Birthday

Hatosh is now 9, he is growing so fast. His Aunt Gwen and grandma made a lego birthday cake for him the Saturday before his birthday. We went to the park and the classic fun center on his actual birthday. Eric is in Santa Rosa so he called that morning to talk to Hatosh and wish him a happy birthday.
It is amazing how fast kids grow up. Hatosh is a super sweet kid and is always nice to everyone. We love him very much.

March Fun

In March we went to St. George for the weekend. It was lots of fun, we stayed with some friends while we were there. We went to the Temple and had fun playing in the warm weather.

For family night we went to fly kites with Eric's sister and her family. The kids had a lot of fun. The weather was perfect for flying kites, it was a nice wind without being too cold.

Eric's brother brought over his bounce house one day and the kids loved jumping in it. It would be fun to own one.

Family Time

We went over to the bird nature area and walked around with the kids it was a lot of fun. The kids love to go walk around the area. As the sun set it got cold.

Gerbils

For Christmas we got our daughter what we thought were 3 male gerbils, well 3 weeks ago we woke up to our daughter telling us that there were 6 baby gerbils in the cage. We went down to see and sure enough there were 6 baby gerbils. We took the 2 boys out of the cage so that we will not have any more surprises. It is amazing how fast these gerbils are growing. The kids love to hold them and play with them. We are going to keep 2 of the girls to keep the mom company in her cage and then we will have the 2 boys in their cage. So we will have 2 boys and 2 girls available if anyone wants gerbils.

Balloons

So for the long weekend we went down to B-town to hang out with Eric's family. While we were there we went down to Bluff for the balloon festival, it was really cool seeing the balloons light up at night. The kids had a blast, even though it was freezing cold. We always enjoy seeing the family, the kids love to play with their cousins.
