Moienah's blessing

Moienah was blessed on Feb. 3, 2008. It was a beautiful blessing given by Eric. There was a huge snowstorm that day so we weren't sure that everyone was going to make it to the chapel on time, but we were lucky and everyone did. Her Aunt Jennifer made her blessing dress which was beautiful. We are so lucky to be blessed with 6 wonderful children.

Navitt's Birthday

Navitt turned 11 today Feb. 12. I can hardly believe that he is this old. It seems like yesterday I was having him. For his birthday we gave him a wave board, the first book of Leven Thumps, and a transformer. Grandma Long gave him a transformer also, the Prince family gave him a book also. He got to go to his first 11 year old scout meeting on his birthday.

In Loving Memory of Mark

On Feb. 6 I received a phone call from my sister telling me that my brother Mark (41) had died. I was in shock. He had open heart surgery on Nov. 6 and had been in the hospital since then. He was put in a rehab center about one week before he died. It is hard to imagine him gone. We hope that his wife Louise and her two children James and Veronica will know that we love them. The funeral was on Monday Feb. 11. It was a very nice ceremony. I will miss my dear brother and the times we had talking. Most of the family was able to be there. It was nice to have the nieces and nephews all together playing.
My sister Michele died last April and now 10 months later my brother Mark has joined her. We will miss them both very much.

Basketball

Maheone, Nikanahan, and Hatosh all played basketball this past season. They loved playing. Nika was the only girl on her team. Maheone's team took the championship for her age group. The championship game was very intense and exciting. The girls were in Jr. Jazz and Hatosh was a Jr. Dart.

Swim Lessons

The kids start their next series of swim lessons next week. They finished their first class in December. They loved taking the classes and are doing very well. The very last class, the pool turned on the waves and let the kids play in the wave pool, the kids had a blast.

Moienah

Eric and I received a surprise Christmas gift this year. Little Moienah was born at 6:04 p.m. Christmas day. We were at a cabin outside of Heber when I went into labor. We drove the hour home to the hospital and made it there 30 minutes before her arrival, being in labor in a car is NOT fun. She weighed 8lbs. 5 oz. and she was 20 1/2 in. long. We were very glad we made it to the hospital and did not have to deliver in the car.

Family Blog

Well Eric and I thought that we would try a family blog. So we will try to keep it updated at least monthly. We have been having a great holiday season. We are expecting our 6th child on January 2, which the kids are very excited about, it will put us at 3 boys and 3 girls. The kids are doing great in school and are looking forward to the holiday break.
