Scout Backpack Trip

Eric took the scouts on a backpack trip up Adams Canyon. He said it was really hard for some of the boys. They were gone 2 nights. The boys were tired and sore on Sunday after getting back and most of them did not think that it was fun. It was a very tough hike for them. Eric was pretty sore when he got home. The went on June 12 and cam home on the 14.

Long Family Parties

My family has a birthday dinner and party for each month. It is pretty fun, we all meet at moms and eat dinner, hang out, and eat cake. The kids love to play with their cousins. I love being close to family and being able to see them all the time. I am so thankful for my family. My sister Courtney is my best friend and I will be sad when she moves to Henderson Nevada. Her husband Greg got a conditional offer to be a police officer down there. He won't leave until winter of 2009. It is good for them but I will be sad.

Lagoon

We took the kids to Lagoon and spent the day on rides and having fun. The kids are getting old enough that they want to choose what rides they go on. We took Moienah on her first two rides. One was a kid tidal wave (I can't remember the name) and the other was the log ride. She liked it until she was splashed with the cold water. We went on rattlesnake rapids towards late afternoon and the kids got soaked. They were freezing, so after a few more rides we went home. We got home around 10:30 that night.
Lagoon is getting so expensive these days. The kids love it though and it is fun to see the joy on their faces.

Little House on the Prarie Day for Nika

Nika's class did a little house on the prarie day. They got to dress up and do lots of pioneer games. They sewed a button on a piece of material, milked a cow, roped a bull, washed clothes on a washboard, learned some dances, and many more fun things. I went over and helped for the last hour of the day. It was pretty fun.

Memorial Weekend

We went to Blanding for Memorial weekend. It was a lot of fun. Volleyball, softball, basketball, and tennis were played down there. We also hiked to West Water and went in a cave. The kids thought that was pretty fun. It was fun having the whole family together. It is great seeing all the cousins play together.

Maheone's 10 Birthday

Maheone celebrated her 10 birthday on the 21 of May. She opened gifts in the morning, I checked her out of school a little early and took her to get her hair cut. She got some layers added to her hair and it looks really cute. We had spaghetti for dinner. Her softball game was cancelled and so we went to see Iron Man at the theaters. It was a pretty good movie. We took her friend Elise with us to the movie. I think she had a pretty good day.

Nikanahan's School Performance

Nikanahan's second grade class held a performance Thursday May 15. They sang songs and looked very cute. Nika got to hold the flag during the pledge. They sang songs about money and the country and all sorts of different things.
