Hill AFB & Roy Museum

I took the kids to Hill AFB for a picnic and to walk around. It is fun looking at the planes. After we looked at all the planes we went over to the Roy Historical Museum, it was pretty fun. They have a game for the kids to play, where they have to find things throughout the museum, when they find everything they get a piece of candy. The kids thought that was fun.

The park on the museum grounds are beautiful, there is a waterfall, pond with bridge and beautiful flowers. It was a fun day.

Family Cabin Trip

So Eric's whole family went to Pete & Gwen's cabin for a few days. We had fun being with each other. On Saturday we went on a huge hike that wiped me out. I learned that I have never really learned to push myself to achieve something hard. I am not sure how to learn the skill of pushing past my limit.

On the hike the dogs went ahead and started barking wildly, we heard a loud noise and someone yelled bear so we all started running, Eric handed me the baby and I was shaking I was so scared. I couldn't see Moke or Hatosh and that terrified me. As we were going we heard a whistle and Lamar yelled that it was not a bear but a cow. We all got a good laugh over that.

I did indeed cry at a few points on the hike, I was exhausted and didn't think I could make it. Maheone was such a great motivator, she kept cheering me on. At the end little Moienah was getting cold and so I had to push on to get her to the truck and warmth.

I kept praying for strength and I truly believe the Lord was watching out for me and giving me that little extra to keep going.

We had a fun trip and I am thankful for the time we got to be with family. It is a blessing for the kids to be so close to their cousins and grand parents.

Moienah's first two teeth

On July 19 Moienah cut her first tooth, Navitt also lost his last baby tooth. Today July 31 Moienah cut her second tooth. My baby is growing up. it is amazing how long 9 months of pregnancy takes and how fast the first 9 months of life are. Moiena is 7 months old. it seems like I was just pregnant with her.

I can't believe how fast it goes. That song don't blink really makes you think that you need to enjoy every minute with your kids because before you know it they will be grown with kids of their own.

Scout Camp

So Eric and Navitt went to scout camp from July 21- 26. I think they had fun. Navitt earned his First Aid, Row Boating, Rifle, & Wilderness Survivle badges. He also earned half of his swimming merit badge. I think he did pretty good for his first year at camp. Eric enjoys being a leader for the scouts and loves going to scout camp. He has been invovled in the scouting program for about 10 years now. The rest of the kids and myself went down to my moms for one day, went to Courtneys to celebrate pioneer day, and just had fun.

I also got my first case of mestitas(breast infection) that is not fun. I have to take antibiotics for it. The doctor says it is a sign that I am doing too much, but with six kids it is hard to rest.

Well I will have to add the pictures later, I don't have them down loaded yet.

New Cat

So our family has added a new member to it. We got a cat, he is about 16 months old and a very good cat. We have named him Tiger. It is Maheone's cat, but she has to let everyone play with him. He is a very laid back cat. The kids have not put him down very much since we got him. The dog is not sure what to think of our new family member. At first she was scared of the cat but I think she is finally getting used to the cat. Boeing loves to lick the cats ears for some reason. I think one day they will be good friends.

Family Pictures

My family went down to Provo to take family pictures. The tension was pretty high with every one yelling at each other and the kids getting tired. It was good to get an updated photo of the family. It is strange to think that we are down to 5 siblings. Everyone was there except Jeff & Syd & their kids, but we are not even sure where they are at this time. The place we went was very beautiful, it is an old building which looks like a castle. We then went to moms house for dinner. It was a fun day.

Summer

We came home the other night and found this raccoon in our backyard tree. Boeing had chased it up there and was standing guard.

Well this summer has been pretty crazy. We went camping with my family for a weekend down by Utah lake, it was a blast. It was Courtney, Greg, & kids, Chris, Brook, & Riley, Eric, myself, and the kids. We went swimming in the lake, we fished, rode a 4 wheeler, and had fun. The kids loved it.

Mokesaut finally got his cast off and 2 days later he was in the hospital with pneumonia he was there from Friday until Sunday. It was hard watching him on oxygen seeing how sick he was. I stayed the first night with him and Eric stayed the second. When we got home on Sunday Nika was running a high fever, so I took her to the doctor on Monday and she also had pneumonia. She was breathing o.k. so we were able to treat her at home.


For the fourth of July we went to a parade with the kids. It was a great parade. We then had Eric's family over for the rest of the day. We played games and just had a good time being together. We went down to the elementary to play basketball and when we came home half of our tree had blown over. We did fireworks that night.


We have also gone swimming at the pool and over to the duck park to feed the ducks. We also like to go to the library to get some books. It has been a pretty good summer so far.
